Hazel Barney, MSW Intern

Pre-Licensed, Provider

Hazel Barney is currently completing her Master of Social Work at the University of Denver. Her interest in mental health developed following her military service, where she gained firsthand insight into the importance of accessible, compassionate support during periods of challenge, transition, and growth.

Hazel works with individuals experiencing stress, life transitions, trauma, and personal challenges that impact their overall well-being. She is particularly interested in helping clients develop greater self-awareness, build resilience, and navigate difficult circumstances with increased confidence and clarity.

Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Hazel helps clients better understand the relationship between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical skills that support meaningful change.

Hazel's approach is authentic, collaborative, and grounded in respect. She values honesty, trust, and genuine human connection and strives to create an environment where clients feel understood as they work toward their personal goals.
